The Wines

Crafted out of the English rural landscape and ripened by the sun, the handpicked grapes from our harvests are carefully transported to professional contract wineries where the teams make our  luscious sparkling rosé wines and still rosé wines. Grape varieties: Bacchus, Schonberger, Rondo and Pinot Noir (early). Our sparklings use the ‘traditional method’ of secondary fermentation in the bottle, and after aging on the yeast lees before disgorgement, the wines develop a special character.

We currently have 2 wines available for sale direct from the vineyard ( by prior order ) or from our loyal local retailers. Our previous vintages have now all been sold out.

Our 2021 vintage English Sparkling Rose Wine has a persistent mousse of fine bubbles and complex fruit flavours. The wine is excellent as an aperitif and goes well with lobster and other meatier kinds of fish; it is first class for celebrations of all kinds and makes any occasion special.

Technical analysis: 8.0 gm/l acidity, 9.0 gm/l residual sugar, 11.5 % abv.

Our 2019 vintage English Rose Wine gives up “strawberries and cream” at first taste followed by a raspberry jam aftertaste . The wine should be served chilled and is ideal as an aperitif and for al fresco dining. 11% abv.

Our wines are suitable for vegetarians and vegans.

The process of making still wines and sparkling wines by the traditional method necessarily takes a long time. Other vintages from our later harvests will be available in due course.
